What is Outreach?
The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware takes pride in not only contributing to the LGBTQ+ community, but to the Delaware community at large. Here is a list of just some of the outreach activities and events in which we have participated or performed over the past several years:
- Delaware Pride Festival and
New Castle County LGBTQ Youth Pride Festival
- Delaware AIDS Walk
- Singing the National Anthem for Wilmington Blue Rocks, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Union,
and Philadelphia Equality Forum
- Delaware Crime Victims Tribute
- BINGO games (with AIDS Delaware)
- Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children recognition by
the Human Rights Campaign with Delaware U.S. Senator Chris Coons
- The Festival of Trees to benefit Delaware Hospice
- Performing with Cathedral Choir School of Delaware
celebrating World Labyrinth Day at the Delaware Art Museum
- Delaware Civil Unions Bill signing ceremony with Governor Jack Markell
- 20th anniversary celebration for PFLAG Delaware (Wilmington chapter)
- First Friday event nights at Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts
- Cole Porter New Year’s Eve tribute with Delaware Symphony Orchestra
- Singing at hospitals, hospices, and shelters
