Featuring “Make Your Own Kind of Music”, “Stand Up”, “I Can’t Keep Quiet”, “Rise Up”, “How Far I’ll Go” and the ebullient “Jai Ho”, this concert let our voices soar – for justice, for equality, and for joy.

We were “Coming out of the Dark” this March with our Showcase featuring both the full Rainbow Chorale chorus and small and solo acts performing pieces from The Wiz, Pitch Perfect, The Greatest Showman, Wicked and much much more! We performed Friday March 18th and Saturday 19th, both at 7:30pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek (UUSMC), 579 Polly Drummond Hill Rd, Newark, DE 19711.
Maya Angelou said, “Shine on. Let nothing dim the light that shines from within.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” The LGBTQ+ community has been forced to stay in the darkness for far too long. We are here and we are proud of the impact we make on the world. Our Showcase was inspired by these two quotes and presents music to encourage and uplift. We are boldly stepping out of the darkness and into the light!
A video of our performance can be found on our YouTube channel here. You can also download a copy of the program.
We held our “What a Wonderful World” concerts celebrating the holiday season and our return to in person performing on Friday December 3rd at 7:30pm at St Stephen’s Lutheran Church (1301 N. Broom St, Wilmington – parking at the Westminster Presbyterian lot at Rodney & 13th) and Saturday December 4th, also at 7:30pm, at Skyline United Methodist Church (3100 Skyline Dr, Wilmington). We offered both in person and remote viewing tickets.
From Deck the Halls to Auld Lang Syne “What a Wonderful World” took a musical tour of the winter holidays. We were excited to share with you heart-warming, soul-stirring, and occasionally hilarious, music that illustrates that it is truly “A Wonderful World”. A video of the 12/3 performance can be found on our YouTube channel here.

The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware premiered “Hope Sings Eternal” a free virtual concert composed of new recordings and old chorale favorites on May 26th 2021. Archival footage of the chorale’s rendition of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” and an all new, all virtually assembled production of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” are just two examples that highlight the spectrum of RCD’s musicality, past and present, in-person and virtually. Featuring videos of the combined chorale as well as offerings from individuals and smaller ensembles, this production aspires to bring messages of hope and inclusion in these uncertain times. The video is still up for viewing – just click on the link above.
